⛲️ Baptismal Fever 🥵
This week was a pretty fun one. Last Monday we made "Shucos" with the Zone, which are like grilled sandwiches from Guatemala with guacamole, meat, and sauces. 🥪 We played some board games and such with them too. 🃏 Today we also spent the day in "La Paz" in the offices for a Leaders' P-day which was pretty fun. We played some chair soccer, some Skull King, and Monopoly Deal. ⚽️ They gave us some Pizza Hut for lunch and then we came back because my companion wanted to have a piano lesson with one of the members and play ping pong with one of our investigators. 🎹 (My companion's also a ping-pong champion from Guatemala) 🏓
We've also been teaching some really cool people recently. We had this one lady that we gave a Book of Mormon to, give us an entire double-sided report on what she had learned from the Introduction of the Book of Mormon which was really sick. 📑 We also had the baptism of our buddy Edgardo. ⛲️ His family was really excited too the point that his brother even said, "if I didn't smoke a cigar all the time, I probably would've gotten in too." We're really hoping that his mother and brother with follow close behind their footsteps. 👣
I was also feeling a little down on Saturday, and lo and behold I got real sick on Sunday. We spent that whole day locked in the house while my fever calmed down. 🤒 The best part is that the power was out until later in the day so the first half was spent in the heat with a rechargeable fan. 🥵 A very fun way to spend the day.
